Vice President of Enterprise Sales

As the Vice President of Enterprise Sales for Adwerx, one of the fastest growing startups in the Triangle, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities related to Business Development & Strategic Accounts, and developing new partnerships to fuel Adwerx's growth. We are looking for an experienced enterprise sales professional who can not only guide and mentor our team but also strategize with senior leadership to help build and establish a successful partnership strategy. This position will report to the Chief Revenue Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience selling into Fortune 1000 Companies.
  • Experience with Real Estate, Mortgage or Insurance is a strong plus.
  • Sign deals with enterprise customers.
  • Manage and optimize the business development process, including pipeline development, resource allocation, and tracking key metrics.
  • Develop and maintain key client relationships and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer and partnership footprint.
  • Identify, qualify and develop national and regional partnership opportunities.
  • Work with marketing and product development to improve customer acquisition and retention.
  • Player/coach leader who will help to build the business development and strategic accounts function from scratch. Entrepreneurial understanding, methodologies and mindset is a must.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience in business development / client services/ enterprise sales.
  • Bachelors’ degree in business or related field. MBA or advanced degree strongly desired.
  • Proven track record of qualifying, scoping and closing revenue generating opportunities in new industries or business models.
  • Strong leadership experience but also have the ability to get your hands dirty as an individual contributor.
  • Strong experience in working with clients prior to and post partnership execution.
  • Experience at a startup is a plus.
  • Selling SaaS is a plus.
